AUCKLAND: Currently involved in the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup here in New Zealand, the Indian team celebrated Holi in Auckland on Friday before its next match against Australia.
BCCI’s Twitter handle for the Indian women’s team read, “Ringing in the festivities post practice in Auckland. Here’s #TeamIndia wishing everyone a Happy Holi all the way from New Zealand,” along with an image of the team after the players celebrated the festival of colours.
Marking the onset of the spring season, Holi is a festival symbolic of joy and victory of good over evil.

India will face Australia on Saturday in Auckland. So far, India have played four matches, winning two and losing two.
