Transfer News LIVE! Man United update, Chelsea star could leave, Dembele posts Barcelona hint

We are now in the moribund embers of December, the proverbial transfer rumor mill growing.

Elsewhere, futures contracts for both Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe may not be settled until the summer, although it seems reasonable to expect updates on both given how likely the club will change in the coming months.

Meanwhile, Ousmane Dembele posted a late-night message about Barcelona’s logo on Instagram, which may indicate where his future lies amid links to a sensational January move to Newcastle United.

There was also an update on the future of Chelsea star Antonio Rudiger. Indeed, Real Madrid is believed to be leading the German international race as the final few months of their deal at Stamford Bridge approach.

Ralph Rangec confirms Anthony Marital has asked to leave Man United

Speaking ahead of Man United’s return to the Premier League on Monday night, Ralf Rangnick confirmed that Anthony Martial has asked to leave the club.

“We spoke on Wednesday and we talked at length,” Rangnick told British media. “He made it clear to me that he’s been at United for seven years and feels this is the time to change, to go somewhere else.

“In an understandable way, I can follow his ideas but on the other hand, it is also important to see the situation of the club. We have COVID times, we have three competitions in which we still have great ambition.

“I told him as long as there is no team showing an interest in him, and it should not only be in the player’s interest, but it should also be in the interest of the club. Until now… there was no offer… and as long as that is the case it will remain.”
