The Philadelphia 76ers are descending and the chance of Ben Simmons’ impending deal to fix the situation looks slim.

That is, if the latest report by states is anything to go by.

We always knew Philadelphia and President Daryl Morey were in no hurry to move Simmons.

In fact, Morey said The Sixers were willing to wait four years if that was what it took to make the right move that capitalized on the Joel Embiid concert.

But the problem is that at the current rate, this season would be written off without Simmons on the field.

The team 76ers have lost four of their last five games so far, after losing in the last post 98-96 against the severely understaffed Atlanta Hawks.

It’s true that the Sixers were without Danny Green, Chuck Melton, George Niang and Andre Drummond, but Atlanta had seven players sidelined due to health and safety protocols.

This included Trae Young, while Philadelphia had Embiid available and yet that wasn’t enough.

The chances of a Simmons trading event soon and its troubles being resolved look slim as well, as the league-wide outbreak of Covid-19 has complicated matters.

Speaking on NBA Insider Mark Stein revealed Spotify Greenroom Podcast He had heard “remarkably little” about Simmons while in Vegas for the G-League Showcase.

“I have to say, after spending three days in the gym with a lot of NBA executives, I’ve heard very little about Ben Simmons in Vegas,” Stein said.

“It just shows, to me, what is the secondary thing the trade is striving for at the moment, whereas normally I would think that in this kind of environment, even if nothing was going on with Ben, some sort of Ben’s prediction would have been flying all over the place. around a gym and you really don’t get much of that.”

Sixers coach Doc Rivers said he spoke to Simmons “recently” and that he was “doing a good job” but that he was “deliberately walking away from” the upbringing when he can return to court.

“These are things that I intentionally stayed out of,” Rivers said.

“I have enough on my plate. I don’t feel like I need to add that.”

Rivers certainly has a lot on his side, with attacking and 3-point shooting in particular missing in the defeat to Atlanta.

“I thought we took the game too casual,” Rivers said after the match.

“And I think we played that way. I thought they did what they wanted. … Disappointing.”

He wrote after the Atlanta loss: “This offense is in a bad shape now, and unless they can get a serious piece here versus Ben Simmons, there is a long, ugly road ahead.”
