A tennis player tried to copy Roger Federer’s through-the-net freak shot that he pulled off at the beginning of the doubles match he played at the Laver Cup 2022 alongside friend and rival Rafael Nadal. The young tennis player hit one of the posts that keep the net tight instead of getting the ball through the small space between the post and the net.
The ball bounced off hitting the tennis amateur in a sensible area. The tennis player shared the video of his attempt on Twitter. “I’m better than you, Roger Federer,” the youngster captioned the video.

After he pulled off the shot, 41 years old Federer joked his sight was still as good as ever.
“It was not meant to be, but my eye was still good!” Federer was heard teling his teammates. “I saw that it went through – or it must have!” Nadal added: “I didn’t see it.”
