Pakistan to host inaugural edition of over-40 Senior Cricket World Cup next year
Chairman PVCA Fawad Ijaz Khan revealed that twelve sides will be selected before the final draws of the competition

Great news for cricket lovers in the country as Pakistan have got the hosting rights for the inaugural edition of the over-40 Senior Cricket World Cup next year, Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association (PVCA) confirmed.
According to details, a total of 12 teams out of 14 registered teams will participate in the tournament which includes Pakistan, India, Australia, England, New Zealand, West Indies, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Canada, USA, Zimbabwe, Wales, Namibia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Chairman PVCA Fawad Ijaz Khan revealed that twelve sides will be selected before the final draws of the competition. He also hoped that former Test cricketers, including the likes of Shahid Afridi, Younis Khan and Shoaib Malik will be in action.
Each innings would be of 45 overs and the matches would be played across six venues in Karachi. Day and night matches will also be played during the World Cup. The finals of the event will be telecasted live.
