Konta announced her retirement from tennis earlier this month and got married less than two weeks later. In November, British media speculated that Konta would be retiring and dating her long-term boyfriend in December.

This is something that took some time to get to. I wanted to give her time to figure out if this was really what I wanted to do or if it was just a tough time.
