It’s all Going Swimmingly for Kerr on Eve of World Cup

Cricket World Cup 22

** WATCH: In the first episode of our vodcast series, CWC22 with Jimmy and Kristy, Amelia Kerr reveals the new confidence the White Ferns take into the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup **

Amelia Kerr is having the summer of her young life. And the 21-year-old White Fern sensation reckons she’ll only get better with age and continued hard graft.

To back that up, Kerr was named player of the series against India on Thursday. Across four ODIs and one T20, Kerr scored 353 runs at an average of 117, took seven wickets and nine catches – a record in women’s ODIs (played in a bilateral series).

She tells Kristy Havill and Jimmy Neesham why she’s playing so well, how she’s working on her mental health by swimming in Lake Wakatipu, and how the Indian series victory has given the White Ferns the confidence and belief they can win from any position, going into the World Cup opener against West Indies next Friday.

And she also reveals who White Ferns coach Bob Carter forgot to call to say they were in the World Cup side.

* CWC22 with Jimmy and Kristy is a vodcast made by LockerRoom, Sky Sport and CWC22. Watch the video above.
