Mandhana scored 52 from 75 deliveries to help build a strong foundation as India reached 100/3 after 25 overs Mount Maunganui.

Skipper Mithali Raj and star batter Harmanpreet Kaur are not out at the crease as India will look to increase the scoring rate on what appears to be a good batting wicket.

Raj won the toss and chose to bat first, but the decision backfired with opener Shafali Verma (0) bowled by Pakistan seamer Diana Baig in the third over of the day.

Deepti Sharma looked assured at the crease and had a partnership of 92 with Mandhana before she too was bowled by Nashra Sandhu.

Mandhana fell shortly after, leaving India with plenty of work to do if they want to post a big total from their 50 overs.
