With an aim to bounce back after a defeat in the series opener, Sri Lanka will host Pakistan in the 2nd and the final Test match of the series starting Sunday (July 24). The Test match is of utmost important for Sri Lanka as a draw or a loss would mean a series defeat for them. With 52 points, they sit at the 6th spot in the World Test Championship table and can move up with a win in the 2nd Test match.
SL responded with a big total of 337 and asked the visitors to chase a big target. Abdulla Shafique remained unbeaten for 160 and propelled his team to a win. He will once again have the onus to emulate his success in the 2nd Test match.
