It’s a time-honored tradition for championship teams in many sports – a trip to the White House to celebrate a title.

The Braves will now have their opportunity, after the White House officially extended an invitation.

The Braves will visit President Biden on Monday, September 26th at 11:30 am, hours before the team opens a series in Washington DC against the Nationals.

It isn’t known if any former Braves from the 2021 team might be able to join their former teammates. One of them – Freddie Freeman – has an off-day with his Dodgers’ team on the 26th.

The Braves’ 2021 World Series championship was the franchise’s first since 1995.

President Biden has already had the chance to meet other championship teams since taking residence at the White House.
